That said, the above criticism is somewhat mitigated by the fact that the character clearly feels a great love and affinity for Catria's character, so they're probably more inclined towards this outcome than any other woman in particular whom they could have become. I'd imagine suddenly becoming someone else without intentionally doing so might leave you somewhat more conflicted, even if you did accept it eventually.
